Pictures from SHS Theatre Performance

The Smithville High School Theatre Department performed “Voice in the Dark: A Salem Story” for the community with three evening performances and one matinee in October. The dark tale, was set in the winter of 1962 in Salem, Massachusetts, and is based on the actual 1962 residents of that town when people accused others of witchcraft for political reasons.

The play was written by Elizabeth Downing and directed by SHS teacher Dustin Hensley with an all-student cast. Shown are pictures from the Sunday matinee with understudies in numerous roles.
