Join the Smithville High School Tiger Band for their Winter Concert tonight! They'll be playing amazing Holiday favorites, epic percussion selections and there may even be a jazz band! This Saturday the Smithville High School Tiger Band took part in the Alll Region Band Auditions. The Smithville students auditioned against the other 25 schools in the Region and for a panel of judges to earn a spot in the All Region Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, or Concert Band that perform in January. Out of the over 400 music students that auditioned our students were able to earn top spots in the Region! We are super proud of all of our students who prepared and auditioned for this event! Here are the results:

The Smithville Tiger Band would like to send out a heart-felt THANK YOU to everyone who supported our Junior High and High School students by purchasing a Holiday Poinsettia this season! After all is said and done we will have sold 1,000 Poinsettias and raised a little over $7,000 for our music students! These funds go towards our Junior High and High School spring trips, Junior High and High School Band travel expenses, color guard uniforms, props, student meals and scholarships. Special thanks to Hostyn Hill Greenhouses from La Grange! We anticipated needing 600 plants but needed an extra 400 plants after counting all our orders. With a week's notice Hostyn Hill Greenhouses was able to find the plants we needed AND deliver them to our campuses for pick up!! Thank you Smithville for showing such great support for our Music Program's Students!
