In February, Smithville Independent School District announced that our local Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) system had been fully approved by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and staff members would be eligible to receive an annual teacher allotment that would range between $5,876 and $23,283.  Today, administrators visited teachers in their classrooms (and even by Facetime) to let them know they had received the TIA “Designated” status!

A total allotment amount of $271,106 is being generated this year as a result of the 25 SISD teachers receiving either a Recognized, Exemplary, or Masters designation based upon teacher and student performance data in the 2024-2025 school year.  Congratulations to the following:
