Join us on Wednesday, November 11th, to support our veterans as we drive them through our SISD campuses and downtown Smithville to be recognized for their service! Veterans will gather at Smithville High School at 9am for a welcome reception, and then be escorted through town.

As part of our safety and security requirements at SISD, our high school and junior high students will be required to start wearing ID badges during school hours. These badges will help staff, officers, and first responders easily identify students during an emergency or reunification, in accordance with State law.
We appreciate everyone's support in keeping our students safe at school!

Shirley is an outstanding student who brings kindness, initiative, and a willingness to help others to our classroom. As my 8th-period teacher’s aide and a student in my 5th-period class, she assists younger bilingual students with their work, helps with attendance, and consistently goes out of her way to lend a hand.
