Smithville ISD will be closed on Monday, January 26th, due to continued freezing temperatures and concerns regarding the safety of our area road conditions. This closure includes the cancellation of all school events and practices.
We will remain in close contact with area emergency management teams and local meteorologists to monitor conditions. You will continue to receive timely updates through our website, social media, and email/text notifications regarding Tuesday's status and any additional weather-related changes.

SISD is actively monitoring the upcoming winter weather. This evening’s basketball games will remain as scheduled, and all other weekend activities have been cancelled. SISD welcomed a wonderful crowd on Tuesday, January 20 to celebrate the designation of the Mary A. Brown School as a historical site in Smithville, TX. Having the opportunity to celebrate this milestone with our community and school district was incredibly memorable for all of us in Smithville ISD!

SOCCER SCHEDULE CHANGE
The Tiger and Lady Tiger Soccer Matches originally scheduled for Friday are being moved up to Thursday, January 22nd. Lady Tigers will begin at 4:30pm and Tigers at 6pm at HOME!

Since we are near the holidays, our Advanced World Geography class curated a "Christmas Around the World" exhibit for all to enjoy. They did a fantastic job and learned a lot of great info about other cultures and how they celebrate the holiday season.
