Congratulations to our Tiger Theatre Troupe! They placed 1st in District competition for One Act Play with their performance of The Tin Woman, and will be advancing to Bi-District competition. Good luck to them on March 27th in La Grange!
If you want to catch the public performance of the play, you can come to the SES Main Cafeteria on March 23rd at 7:00pm or March 24th at 3:00pm. Tickets are $5, but all SISD staff get in FREE! Come support out Tiger Theatre!




Don't forget that Spring Break is next week! Smithville ISD will be closed March 11th - 15th for the holiday. All students will return on Monday, March 18th.

We are writing to inform you of an incident that occurred Friday evening. An SISD van, carrying our girls powerlifting team, was involved in an accident. All involved were transported to a nearby healthcare facility, and we are glad to report that our students and staff are all safe and no major injuries were sustained.
Please join us in gratitude for the safety and health of these young athletes and their coaches.

REMINDER: Today is your last day to respond!
Attention Sophomores and Juniors! SISD is exploring the possibility of offering free training for upcoming Juniors and Seniors who are interested in the Education Field. The training would be provided by Region 13 over the course of one week in June. Students who complete this training will be able to apply to work in the after school program located at the Elementary campus.
The training consists of teaching leadership skills and skills development.
