Thursday, February 6th starting at 5:00pm. Tickets for the event are $15. We'll be serving chili and performing solos and ensembles from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. This Saturday the Smithville High School Band students performed in the All Region Jazz Band as part of the Associaton of Texas Small Schools All Region Band Concerts at the Bastrop Performing Arts Center. This concert featured the High School All Region Jazz Band along with the Middle School All Region Concert Bands. The High School Jazz Band only takes the top 20 students who audition and our Smithville saxophone team earned 1st chairs in the Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, and Baritone Saxophone sections! We even had a few of them improvise/make up music for their jazz solo on stage for the first time! Our music students practiced from Friday evening to mid-day Saturday before putting on a full concert for a packed house on Saturday evening! We of course had a few food stops in between the practices and they gave a fantastic performance! We'd like to congradulate our amazing High School and Middle School students for having a fantastic All Region Band Performance!

Recruiting season is open! A good week of recruiting for Tiger Football. We had 5 colleges check in at the Tiger Den to check out our boys.
