Trip Davis with the 4th place finish at the Flatonia Varsity Golf Tournament! A season best 80!! Varsity Girls - Also in Flatonia, in extremely rough winds Freshmen Lily Gardella and Maddie Bell continued to show solid consistency leading the girls. Junior Varsity Golf - Brody Taylor carded a 95 in only his second tournament, in windy conditions at Colovista. There are 5 Freshmen and 8 Sophmores in the golf program. The future is bright for Smithville Golf! #GRIT

Let's give a big warm Tiger Nation welcome to our new Offensive Coordinator (OC) for Tiger Football Coach Chris Sexton ! He brings 14th years of experience as a coach and teacher, the last 10 years serving as an offensive coordinator. He has also served as a head baseball and head softball coach. Coach Sexton is from Royse City, TX. He is a graduate of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, where he met his wife of 14 years Alica. They have a son, Wyatt (12) and a daughter, Anistyn (8). Coach Sexton is eager to bring his passion, drive, and dedication to the Smithville Tigers and looks forward to being part of this incredible community. We are very excited to have Chris and his family! We can't wait to get to work with him and what he brings to the program with his proven record of success! - Coach Neumann

The Smithville Junior High Band will be competing in the UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest tomorrow, March 5th. Their performance starts at 12:45 pm at the Bastrop Performing Arts Center. This event is free and open to the public. Come on out and see our amazing music students perform on a big stage!
